Tom Finney - England 1950
England's Tom Finney holds off Chile's Roldan during a World Cup clash on the 26th of June 1950 in rio de Janeiro's famous Maracana Stadium. England won this encounter by 2 goals to 0, thanks to goals from Stan Mortensen and Wilf Manion. This was England's first ever World Cup match, and their only victory in the 1950 finals after defeats to Spain and USA.
